Over the Hill at 65 & not MPH

Sunday, August 19th a few
members from the River
Valley Vettes travelled to
McAdam to help celebrate
Arnie Adam's ,one of the club
members 65th birthday.Among
the party goers were Ron & Anne
Gould ,Alfred & Linda Kenny,Danny
& Karen Calhoun, Peter & Marilyn
Wood and Tom & Lois Hiltz.Gloria's
brother Frank [mayor of McAdam]
treated us all to a tour of McAdam
Train Station, built in 1900 and is
one New Brunswick's most photographed
buildings. This structure that resembles a Scottish Castle is 285 ft long and 45 ft wide
& is a classic example of turn-of-the-century architecture, a combination of Gothic ,
Baroque & Victorian styles. We then retreated to the Adam's family place where we
had a barbeque and corn boil.
