October Run

What a gorgeous day.... 27 covettes of every color and almost every year. We met for lunch in Amherst, where the 7 corvettes from Moncton joined up with the corvettes of Nova Scotia. It was at this point that most dropped their tops. The ride through River Hebert, Apple River, Advocate Harbor and Parrsboro was accelerating to say the least. We were having so much fun on this "mini Cabot trail", twisting and cornering, that the first 6 or 7 vettes forgot about the rest for a while. Thank you Brian for allowing us to release our horses. After a quick stop in Parrsboro to regroup, we then visited the Christmas shop to satisfy the needs of those that wanted to find that little something special; we made the mandatory stop at the Masstown market. Then it was off to Brian & Debbie Palmer's home for a wide variety of food and birthday cake (Roger & Brian are twins). Brian walked the group through the pathway he has (wide enough for a truck - and that's another story) which runs from his home down to a river bank that once was home to some now stolen trout (soon to be replaced). With the leaves falling and the quiet warmth of the day, the walk was almost better than the winding roads of the Glooscap Trail (I said almost). Thank you to a fun bunch of people, who love to get together with their corvettes - you make life happen.
