Another perfect day for a parade in Oromocto. Weather couldn't be better !
River Valley Vettes participated in the annual Canada Day / Pioneer Day parade . This year president , Vernon Patriquin drove Oromocto's newly elected mayor , Bob Powell and John Johnston had Faye Tidd ( last years mayor) as Pioneer Kate. I drove Pioneer Pete ( a local area retired boxer) , who seemed to be quite popular with the crowd. Also participating in the parade was Wanda and Mark Gadd. Pioneer Days was a great success in Oromocto and the weather co-operated ! Carrying RVV's banner in the parade was my grandson , Logan Hiltz and his friend Tyler Faulkner.
After the parade , a BBQ at my place followed , attended by John & Jean Johnston, Vernon and Julia Patriquin, Wanda and Mark Gadd , Harley and Pat Smearer and Laurie Ward.
