Well another awesome day with the club 8 cars joined at Boston Pizza parking lot and ventured off to explorer Beechwood Dam
we left at 11 am and traveled to Woodstock with a pit stop at Tim Horton;s on Connell Rd.where we meet up with my brother Wanda's brother, his wife and my niece.after a coffee and a snack my brother led us to the Beechwood Dam with anticipation. We meandered to Beechwood through the back roads threw Bristol, Bath Florenceville,Hartland and many other picturesque country villages and picturesqueis it was. My sister-in-law Lana was our tour guide and may i add a very good one . She pointed out many interesting facts that each town offered and kept us together by indicating each turn on the road with approximate distance and time.We left Beechwood Dam and followed my brother towards Hartland where we exited the country roads through the Hartland covered bridge to the trans canada on route to Benton where they live and i once did. After arriving in Benton my brother and my sister-in-law hosted a BBQ,hot dogs, hamburgers and accompanied with a potato salad and homemade beans (toot toot) my sister-in-law made, they also provided coffee tea and pop. I brought a variety of sweets to finish off the feed.

A big thank you to them for hosting and a big thank from me for all who came on the run.

A day out with the club is always a great day, laid back and lots of laughter.

Spring Has Sprung - R.V.V's First 2020 Run

Spring Has Sprung - R.V.V's First 2020 Run

Just like spring brings back the flowers, the grass and the leaves so does spring bring back the Corvette season. Sunday, May17th. marked the beginning of The River Valley Corvette Club's Vette season. Ten Corvettes and one Chev Spark gathered at the Boston Pizza parking lot for a 1:00 pm. departure to St. John. After about 30 minutes of socializing distantly the ten Vettes caravetted towards the port city with planned detours through Welsford and Grand Bay/Westfield. The Circle K on Fairville Blvd. provided a welcomed pit stop and the perfect place for fellow member Dave G. to lead us on an abbreviated tour of local sights. ( many local attractions are still closed ) We visited Fort Howe ( amazing view ) , and did a very scenic tour out to Rothsay before turning for home. The final stop of the run was at the Gateway in Oromocto where members choose the favorite take-out and then assembled in the Jungle Jim's parking lot for a throw back parking lot snack.
